Since 2019, The Academy for Health and Lifespan Research has gathered leaders in aging science at its Annual Conference to promote the collaborative efforts needed to turn groundbreaking research into real-world health benefits.

5th AHLR Annual Conference
January 31 - February 3, 2025 | Scottsdale, AZ
The 5th AHLR Annual Conference was a four-day event full of discussions about translational strategies, outreach, and the challenges of integrating gerotherapeutics into clinical practice. With thought-provoking panels and inspiring guest speakers, the conference was a success.
Our guest speakers - Alex Zhavoronkov, David Glass, and Lee Hood - shared fascinating insights on topics like AI’s role in developing gerotherapeutics, pharmaceutical strategies, and personalized medicine. Their talks inspired everyone to think bigger and push the boundaries of innovation in geroscience.





4th AHLR Annual Conference
January 7 - 10, 2024 | West Palm Beach, FL
The Academy hosted its 4th Annual Conference at The Breakers in West Palm Beach, FL, which over 40 of the world's leading geroscientists and longevity researchers attended, making this event the largest gathering of leaders in the longevity field ever.
Highlights included thought-provoking panels by Andrea Maier envisioning the future of longevity medicine in clinics, Jamie Justice on the X-Prize Healthspan, and Jamie Metzl reshaping our understanding of lifespan in the age of technology.





Further discussions were expertly hosted by individuals like George Kuchel on immunity and aging, Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte on reversing cellular aging, Vera Gorbunova on animal models for exceptional longevity, and Jim Kirkland providing updates on clinical trials in humans. Vadim Gladyshev shared insights on current and future biomarkers, Ana Maria Cuervo discussed the latest advances in understanding aging hallmarks, Brian Kennedy highlighted the most promising molecules for human longevity, and Rafael de Cabo explored the most encouraging lifestyle interventions.
3rd AHLR Annual Conference
February 8 - 11, 2023 | Rancho Palos Verdes, CA
The February 2023 Academy for Health and Lifespan Research conference at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA brought together leading scientists to reflect on the Academy’s mission, define its evolving role in the field, and plan future initiatives. Sessions led by Nir Barzilai, David Sinclair, Felipe Sierra, and others covered the Academy’s founding, core values, member expectations, and strategic goals. Highlights included discussions on geroscience transformation, emerging research areas such as biomarkers, exceptional longevity, hyperbaric medicine, and TAME, as well as planning for future meetings and educational activities. The retreat also featured community-building activities, including hikes, shared meals, and stargazing, reinforcing the Academy’s collaborative spirit.
